The money-back guarantee
Freemius holds a money-back period and a refund policy for every product, both set in the dashboard. The guarantee line reads them, so the promise on your page is the one Freemius honours at checkout.
30-day satisfaction guarantee
The words Freemius uses
Freemius gives each refund policy its own name, and the line uses the same name:
| Refund policy in Freemius | The line reads |
|---|---|
| Strict | 30-day money-back guarantee |
| Moderate | 30-day satisfaction guarantee |
| Flexible | 30-day double guarantee |
Change the policy in the Freemius dashboard and the words follow at the next refresh.
Insert the Freemius money-back block, under Widgets in the inserter, or
write [pflp_moneyback].
Your own words
text is your own sentence, with %d where the number of days goes:
[pflp_moneyback] -> 30-day satisfaction guarantee
[pflp_moneyback text="Try it risk-free for %d days"] -> Try it risk-free for 30 days
[pflp_moneyback text="Money back, no questions asked"] -> Money back, no questions asked
In the block it is the Text field. Left empty, the line names the guarantee the way Freemius names your refund policy. Change the period in the Freemius dashboard and the number follows.
Text with no %d is printed as you wrote it.
When there is nothing to show
A product with no money-back period on Freemius shows nothing at all, and that includes your own words. A page must never promise a guarantee the checkout does not give, so the line appears only while Freemius holds a period. The editor says so in place of the preview:
This product has no money-back period on Freemius, so nothing shows on the page.
There is no fallback text, for the same reason as the release line.
If a refresh fails, the last period fetched stays.
When it changes
The period is read whenever the prices are, and the product's Status card shows it, such as "30 days", or "None set on Freemius".
Inside a pricing card
The block follows the card's product. It is not part of the pricing card pattern, because adding a line to every card would change how cards already on your pages look: add it from the inserter under the buy button, or wherever you want it.
In the shortcode builder, pick Money-back guarantee as the element.
Layout and styling
Inline as a shortcode, a line of its own as a block or with align, and the
block editor's own Typography, Colour, Spacing and Border panels on the block.
The class is .pflp-moneyback.
