Plan name, description, trial and features
The words beside the figure come from Freemius too. A plan's name, its description, its trial and its feature list are all typed once in the dashboard, so a pricing card holds no copy of them.
Plan text
Insert the Freemius plan text block, or write [pflp_plan], and pick which
field it prints.
[pflp_plan] -> Agency
[pflp_plan plan="b2" field="description"] -> Everything in Personal, for teams
[pflp_plan plan="b2" field="trial"] -> 14-day free trial
field | What it prints |
|---|---|
title (the default) | the plan's title, falling back to its plan name |
description | the plan's description, as Freemius has it |
trial | 14-day free trial, or nothing at all when the plan has no trial |
In the block this is the Field select: Title, Description or Trial period.
It takes no licence tier and no billing cycle, and it carries no figures, so nothing here moves when either toggle does.
When a field is empty
A plan with no description at Freemius prints nothing, which is honest but
sometimes leaves a hole in a card. fallback="..." is your own answer to that:
[pflp_plan plan="starter" field="description" fallback="For one site"]
It is the block's Fallback text, and it is used only when the field is empty. Fill the description in at Freemius and the real words take over, with no edit to the page.
A plan that does not exist prints nothing and records the reason in the log, exactly as a price does.
Plan text renders inline, so it sits in a sentence. align="left", "center"
or "right" puts it on a line of its own.
Features list
Insert the Freemius plan features block, or write [pflp_features]. It
renders the plan's features as a plain list, in the order Freemius returns them.
[pflp_features]
[pflp_features plan="b2" show_description="1"]
show_description, the block's Show descriptions toggle, adds each
feature's own description under its title, for a card that has room for it.
Left off, the titles alone are the list.
The list has no bullets and no markers of its own, so your theme's or your own CSS decides how it reads. The classes are in Styling.
A plan with no features renders nothing at all, rather than an empty list: a card showing an empty box looks broken, where a card that simply says less does not. If your plans have features in the dashboard and the list is empty, the stored copy predates this feature. Press Refresh now on the product's own screen, or wait for the next refresh, and it fills in.
Putting a card together
The inserter's Patterns tab has Freemius pricing card under Freemius: a Freemius pricing card block holding the plan's name, its price with the site's text after it, its description, its features list and a full-width buy button. Every figure and every word in it is live, and the card itself is a block you can style. The pricing card is the full tour.
Written out, the same card is:
[pflp_plan plan="b2"]
[pflp_price plan="b2" suffix="auto"]
[pflp_plan plan="b2" field="description"]
[pflp_features plan="b2"]
[pflp_button plan="b2" width="100"]
